I have recently discovered another simplest, easiest yet tastiest meal – Braised Yee Mee in Vegan Style or any noodle at your liking.

A simple yet hearty meal in 15-minutes, shall we?

Ingredients :-

  1. Noodle – I am cooking yee mee, easy one as this noodle is already pre-cooked (least cooking time required too, haha!) which can be found at neighbourhood convenient stores, grocer stores and even morning market.
  2. Mushroom – 200g, sliced and washed.
  3. Cabbage or vegetables that left over in your fridge (or you could opt to skip if vegetable is not your thing.).
  4. Gravy sauces – soy sauce 2tsp, oyster sauce 1tsp, sesame oil tsp, sprinkle some pepper and 100ml water to mix well to set aside.
  5. 100ml water.

Cooking Steps :-

Hot stove and hot oil, add in mushroom to cook for 8-minutes or until you see mushroom juice is drying up on frying pan.

Add in cooking sauces that we have pre-mix earlier (ingredients #4).

Cook for 5-minutes, add in yee mee.

Cook for 3-minutes, add in cabbage.

Add water, slowly. Stir fry and mix well all ingredient in frying pan for 5-minutes.

Served and enjoy your tastefully meal – our “Braised Yee Mee in Vegan Style“!

Tips :-

  1. Yee mee is pre-cooked noodle, suggest to finish fast like within 2 weeks from purchased to avoid ‘oily’ taste to your noodle.
  2. You may sprinkle some salt, if you find the sauce taste is too light on noodle.
  3. Sesame oil could be subjective to everyone, suggest to replace with olive oil or corn oil which is equally nutrition.
  4. For kid version, you may add in carrot, green pea or edamame too.
