I always have a sweet tooth, anywhere and anyhow especially after meal. Hence, I kinda ensure to store these ingredients at home to standby to serve my sweet tooth craving.
Are we the same too? Sweet tooth comes out of sudden, lazy to make fancy dessert and wants everything quick ready in just 15-minutes? If you are nodding your head and saying ‘yes’ plenty of times, this recipe is just for you.

Soya Bean, Grass Jelly & Rice Glutinous Ball Dessert
Ingredients :-
- Grass jelly (or commonly known as cincau), chopped to your favourite size.
- Soya bean (or you could replace with oat milk, fresh milk or ice chocolate drinks you having in mind now).
- Rice glutinous ball (size and brand, choose at your liking).
Cooking Steps :-
Ready a cooking pot of boiling water. Pour in rice glutinous balls.
Keep boiling until rice glutinous balls floating on surface.
Add in 20ml room temperature water to boiling pot.
Continue to cook for 2minutes to boiling. Now you may notice slight cracking rice glutinous balls.
Ready to serve.
Add in grass jelly.
Add in soya bean.
And, I have added in ice cubes too for refreshing version on hot weather.
Tips :-
- Suggest to cook rice glutinous balls as per packaging instructions. I had previously cook to my mood without checking on packaging instructions and result turned out isn’t chewy and undercook too.
- I put unfinished portion of grass jelly in a clean container and store in fridge to be consumed quick within a week.
- Do add in chocolate syrup, honey or even raisin as topping, you will find it turns out taste amazingly.
