Braised Tofu Puff Chicken Carrot Stew
Ingredients :-
- 200g chicken fillets and pork collar (cleaned and marinated with pepper, 0.5 tsp baking soda and 2tsp LeeKumKee soy sauce).
- 100g carrot (washed and diced to put aside).
- 100g tofu puff (any tofu type at your liking).
- Cooking sauce (1tsp LeeKumKee oyster sauce, 2tsp LeeKumKee soy sauce, 1tsp sesame oil and pepper).
- 500ml water.
Cooking Steps :-
Hot oil, hot stove and add chicken fillets to pan fry to golden brown for 2-minutes at each side. Set aside to bowl.
Add carrot and 30ml water to pot, to boil for 2-minutes.
Add tofu puff to pot.
Add cooking sauce to pot.
Add 500ml water, to boil for 4-minutes.
Add pan fried chicken fillets to pot, to boil for 10-minutes.
Slow boil for 5-minutes to serve to bowl. Enjoy!
Tips :-
- For protein type, you can use chicken breast or chicken drumsticks at your preference. I am cooking chicken fillets and mix with pork collar, protein leftover in my freezer.
- Adding in onion and corn will add more “sweetness” to dish, surely your kids will like it.
- Minus last 5-minutes on slow boil, if you like to have more soup in your stew pot.
